Hi, I have a question about the custom install of window 7. My computer have an OS of window vista home premium 32bits SP2 (3.00 GB RAM) and i want to custom install it to window 7 ultimate 64bits, is it possible? Do i have to format my hard drive in order to do that. If so how can i do it?
its possible
just custom install. you dont need to format it unless you want to
if you are gonna use 64-bit i recommend having 4gb of RAM
very help full
will a restore point do?
yeh lol i can try and back up about 401 gb yeh…
can you upgrade windows vista ultimate to windows 7 ultimate ?
I’m tempted 2 upgrade as my Vista Laptop is as slow as a Snail
@Exile017 : yes…
@jasonjason957
no I upgraded from from Vista home basic 32 to Win 7 Ultimate 64 with no problem. It will be a clean install though. So all your files will be gone and games on another harddrive (or partition on the same drive) won’t work. Maybe copying your directions folder will help but I just reinstalled the stuff because my pc was new so didn’t have much on it and most of them were games.
Great Video Cool Speach And Thanks For Such A Great Video
Hi guys, can you help me with an issue i am having with the installation?
I have Windows Vista Ultimate and i am upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate. I choose the upgrade option, wait 5 minutes until it finishes Checking compability and then i get an error saying: There is not enough free space to store temporary Windows installation files.
I have deleted as much as possible files i could. Now i have 135 GB of free hard disk space yet the problem occurs. Can you help me?
Thanks in advance!
once you upgrade can you downgrade?
@ChrisBuckethead Try a clean install not the upgrade one
@birdman1265 I can’t do that neither. It doesn’t detect my hard drive. I am not doing a clean install because all my files will get deleted and I have nowhere to backup them, they are too many.
if you have vista i stll work be cuz i did dat with my vista xp need my ram it said my vista only had 2GB and xp had 3GB
what happens if the computer is shut down before the enter key screen?
@ChrisBuckethead you need at leat 1GB of RAM. vista only required 512MB, half the amount
@182ndNegociator i have already installed windows 7..thnx anyway..i had 1GB of RAM
